Retiree Eugene Fitzpatick, who married George Motchan's cousin. worked across the street from where George and his wife Dolly lived in Brooklyn, prior to the Motchans moving to Staten Island. Fitzpatrick also worked with George in the subway system, left Transit to go with the Department of Correction in 1955, and then convinced George to take the Correction Officer job in 1958. |
