Perry Center Plaque Inscription
This building is dedicated to Samuel Perry, who was appointed a Correction Officer on July 13, 1959, and was still serving as a Correction Officer when this building was renamed The Samuel Perry Control Center in his honor in 1998.
A former combat infantryman in the Korean conflict, Mr. Perry served as an officer at the Hart Island workhouse, the Correctional Institution for Men, the Headquarters Command and the Support Services Division.
