  • President, Correction Captains Association 1968 - 1985

  • CCA Retiree Consultant - Since 1985

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF MANDY'S ADMINISTRATION

  • Achieved full wage parity with New York City Police Sergeants.

  • Introduced free life-insurance coverage for all Captains, now totaling $100,000 for active members and $30,000 for retirees.

  • Introduced "span of control" principle that still guides Department personnel policy in determining Captain-to-Officer ratio.

  • Secured released time for CCA President and Board officers to provide better representation and services to members.
