Those who use MS Internet Explorer (IE) browser versions capable of displaying PowerPoint presentations can, by clicking the image on the right, access the Thar's Historical Gold in Them Thar Jail Ledgers slide show that the webmaster of the New York Correction History Society (NYCHS) presented during the Nov. 15-16 Researching NY 2007 conference at SUNY Albany.

The illustrated talk, based on the NYCHS site's web presentation entitled The Ledgers of NY's Essex County Jail, was one of the two slide presentations given during the conference's Looking at Old Records Anew Session the afternoon of Nov. 15th in the Science Library's Digital Workshop #4.

Those whose computers use older IE versions or other browsers which do not display PowerPoint well or at all may do better to download the PPT file directly to their hard drive without "opening" it within the browser.

After the download, they may be able view it by having their PowerPoint program open the downloaded PPT file.
